Zhang Wei, born in November 1971, graduated from Soochow University in 2008 with a master’s degree. He is currently the member of the China Artists Association, vice-chairman of the Jiangsu Young Artists Association, member of the Figure Painting Art Committee of Jiangsu Artists Association, member of the Fine Arts Education Committee of the Jiangsu Artists Association, member of Nantong CPPCC Standing Committee, vice-chairman of Nantong Municipal Committee of the Agricultural and Labour Party, chairman of Nantong Young Artists Association,  member of the Academic Committee of Nantong University, professor and dean of School of Arts, First-class Artist and Master’s Supervisor. Furthermore, he was awarded as the outstanding young Chinese painter of jiangsu province and selected as the training object of 226 High-level  Personnel Training Project of Nantong, and 333 High-level Personnel Training Project of Jiangsu Province .
