School of Foreign Studies
The School offers five undergraduate programs: English (Teacher Education), Business English, Translation, Japanese, and Translation (Sino-Foreign Cooperative Program). It is authorized to confer a first-tier Master’s degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures, along with professional Master’s degrees in Education (MEd) in English Language Teaching and Translation and Interpreting (MTI) in English Translation. The Foreign Languages and Literatures discipline has achieved notable recognition, ranking among the top 50 in the "Best Chinese Disciplines" ranking by Shanghai Ranking and placing within the top 22% nationally. Annually, the School admits over 300 undergraduates and more than 20 postgraduate students.
