Overview

Established in December 2023, the School of Mathematics and Statistics evolved from the former School of Sciences. It inherits a robust academic tradition while embracing modern interdisciplinary approaches to mathematical and statistical sciences.


Academic Programs

  • Undergraduate Programs:

    • Mathematics and Applied Mathematics (Teacher Training)

    • Mathematics and Applied Mathematics (Teacher Training, Oriented Program)

    • Applied Statistics

    • Applied Statistics (Sino-British Credit Transfer Joint Program)

  • Graduate Programs:

    • Academic Master’s: Mathematics (First-tier Discipline)

    • Professional Master’s: Applied Statistics


Faculty & Students

  • Student Body: 904 undergraduates and 55 master’s students.

  • Faculty: 84 faculty and staff members, including 74 full-time academics.

    • 12 professors, 29 associate professors.

    • 21 master’s supervisors and 5 doctoral supervisors.

    • 100% hold doctoral or master’s degrees.


Accreditations & Honors

  • Applied Statistics: Recognized as a Jiangsu Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Program.

  • Mathematics and Applied Mathematics (Teacher Training):

    • Accredited by the Ministry of Education’s Teacher Training Program Certification.

  • Research Platform: Designated as a Jiangsu Provincial Statistical Science Research Base (2023).
