Nestled along the picturesque Hao River in Tongcheng, the School of Nursing and Rehabilitation at Nantong University traces its origins to the Private Nantong Medical School founded by Mr. Zhang Jian in 1912, boasting a profound heritage in nursing and rehabilitation education. Established as an independent school in 2024, it adheres to the motto of "Compassion, Dedication, and Progress," committed to cultivating high-quality nursing and rehabilitation professionals with a spirit of benevolence, solid professional competence, and an international perspective.

The school features a robust and well-structured faculty. It currently has over 150 full-time and part-time staff members. The faculty includes a group of high-level talents, such as experts from the National Teaching Steering Committee for Nursing Accreditation, council members of the Chinese Nursing Association, and candidates of Jiangsu Province's "333 Project." The school has established seven teaching and research sections: Basic Nursing, Clinical Nursing, Humanistic Nursing, Community Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. It is also supported by a Nursing and Rehabilitation Experimental Teaching Center and a Research Center, providing a solid foundation for teaching and scientific research.

The school is characterized by distinct program features and upholds an integrated approach to education and scientific research. It offers two undergraduate programs: Nursing (a National First-Class Undergraduate Program, accredited by the Ministry of Education) and Rehabilitation Therapy (accredited by WFOT).
