The material science discipline of our university tops 1% of ESI for the first time according to the ESI data in March issued by Clarivate, an international third-party evaluation organization, on Mar. 10th, 2022. So far, our university has boasted 7 subjects in the top 1% of ESI.

Statistics show that 684 papers of material science discipline of our university were published during the past decade, with a total citation of 8,396 times and an average of 12.27 per paper. The newly added material science discipline is the third ESI top 1 % discipline added since the 14th Five-year Plan, and the total number of disciplines entering the top 1 % of ESI ranks 6th among the high-level universities in Jiangsu Province. Besides, the international ranking of the original 6 disciplines in the top 1% of ESI continues to improve, with the discipline of clinical medicine ranking top 3%, and the discipline of engineering, pharmacology and toxicology top 5%. The potential value of molecular biology and genetics has reached 0.96.
