NTU Reaches New High in STEM Rankings for Chinese Hospitals and Medical Colleges
On Oct 31, the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences released the ranking list of Science and Technology Evaluation Metrics (STEM) of Chinese Hospitals and Chinese Medical Schools 2020, in which Nantong University, with a total score of 20.56, comes 27th nationally and 3rd in Jiangsu province. At the same time, Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University, with a total score of 21.69, ranks 44th nationally and 4th in Jiangsu. Both rankings have reached new highs.
STEM is an annual evaluation of the scientific and technological capabilities of medical schools in China. This evaluation has become a scientific and technology evaluation system of medical schools with credibility, providing an important basis for the development of medical science and technology, discipline construction and resource allocation in the country and regions. In 2020, a total of 110 independent medical schools with graduate enrollment qualification of medical-related disciplines and comprehensive universities with medical-related disciplines were selected. The medical disciplines of NTU include Basic Medicine, Clinical Medicine, Stomatology, Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Pharmacy, Medical Aspects of Specific Environments, Medical Technology and Nursing.
