Publication and Worldwide Distribution of an English Version of Toward A Coordinated and Balanced Development from NTU Think Tank

Recently, the English version of Toward A Coordinated and Balanced Development—New Initiatives for the Development of Yangtze River Economic Belt and Explorations in Jiangsu, coauthored by Professor Cheng Changchun  and  Yang Fenghua from the Research Institute of Yangtze River Economic Belt, a Provincial key high-end think tank of NTU, is published by People’s Publishing House and Springer. It has been released on major platforms overseas and available online to readers in over 10 countries and regions.

Consisting of 12 chapters, this book is set against the background of three national strategies of Belt and Road Initiative, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development Strategy, and Yangtze River Economic Belt Strategy. In view of the new situations and new requirements of Chinese regional development under the new normal, it proposes that the regional coordinated development strategy aiming to narrow the regional economic gap should be upgraded to a regional coordinated and balanced development strategy so as to better demonstrate the new trends of  the economic system reform, and new requirements of regional development including  enhancing the integrity of development, promoting equality of opportunity and spatial equilibrium, in order to adapt to a more diversified and balanced regional development in the coming future.

Under the guidance of the regional coordinated and balanced development, a thorough discussion and comprehensive analysis is conducted in this book on the vision and path of the integrated and intergrowth development formed in the coordinated and balanced development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the suggested solutions to for Jiangsu to integrate itself into the coordinated and balanced development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
