On September 2, the National Finals results of 14th Siemens Cup China Intelligent Manufacture Challenge was made public that our university was awarded 1 grand prize and 1 second prize for intelligent manufacture engineering design and application.

The two teams from our university were shortlisted in the national finals. Ge Jintian of School of Electrical Engineering won the grand prize with the result of first place in the final and fourth place in total score，and Wu Defan won the second prize.

“Siemens Cup” China Intelligent Manufacture Challenge is a national “A”-level competition event under the strategic cooperation framework signed by the Ministry of Education and Siemens. It aims at the talent training and transformation for Chinese manufacturing industry under the industrial upgrading background of industrial automation, informatization, digitization and intelligentialization. In 2020, in response to the call of the Ministry of Education：Classes suspended while schooling maintained, the organizing committee initiated the industrial automation online competition，and more than 4700 teams from all over the country participated in the qualification contest, of which more than 1200 teams participated in the preliminary competition for the undergraduate group. Finally 162 teams got through to the finals of the undergraduate group.
