On June 29th, Shanghai Ranking officially released "Shanghai Ranking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2020". NTU has four subjects on the list: Power Electronic Engineering, Communication Engineering, Bioengineering and Pharmacy, two more than that in 2019. Among them, Pharmacy ranked ninth in Mainland China and third in the province, along with Nanjing University and Nanjing Medical  University.

"Shanghai Ranking‘s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2020" covers 54 subjects in five major fields: mechanics, engineering, life sciences, medicine and social sciences. This ranking is aimed at more than 4000 universities around the world. A total of more than 1800 universities from 90 countries and regions finally appeared on the lists of various subjects.
