Three NTU Researchers Elected to the 2019 List of Chinese Most Cited Researchers

On May 7th, Elsevier officially released the 2019 list of Chinese Most Cited Researchers. Three scholars of NantongUniversity, Gu Xiaosong, Gao Yongjing,etc. were on the list, two more researchers on the list than last year, which ranks NTU the 86th among the national universities.

The Elsevier's list of Chinese Most Cited Researchers is sourced from the Scopus database as statistical basis. As the world's leading peer-evaluated abstract citation database, Scopus database collects and includes more than 24,000 journals from more than 5,000 publishers worldwide (including more than 730 journals from mainland China), more than 9.8 million academic forum papers, 220,000 books and 44 million pieces of patent information sourced from five major global patent institutions, covering natural science, technology, engineering, medicine, social science, art and humanities. According to statistics, Chinese most cited researchers are from 242 universities or scientific research institutions in 2019.
