A Special Issue Organized By Ding Weiping of the School Of Information Science and Technology under the International Authoritative Journal TFS Officially Published

Recently, Ding Weiping, Vice Dean and Associate Professor of the School of Information Science and Technology of our university, as a guest chief editor, together with the international renowned scholar, Professor Witold Pedrycz of the University of Alboria, Canada, and Professor Chin-Teng Lin, of the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia, published a special issue titled Fuzzy Rough Sets for Big Data under the international authoritative journal of“IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems (TFS in abbreviation )”.

This special issue is convened in name of our university as the first leading institute, and a total of 16 excellent academic papers by scholars both at home and abroad are acquired and published in the fifth issue of 2020 in TFS journal, mainly compiling two sorts of classic granularity calculation methods of Fuzzy Sets and Rough Sets as the latest research results on global hot topic of the big data. The acquisition and publication of this special issue marks that Ding Weiping's research achievements in this field have been recognized by international counterparts, which will further promote the international cooperation and exchange in information discipline of our university, and in addition, importantly signify the expansion and enhance of the academic influence of Nantong University in the world.

TFS was commenced in 1993 by the American Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). This journal, as a international authoritative academic journal, mainly publishes the latest international research results in theory, design and application of the fuzzy system, and has a high academic influence in the field of international fuzzy theory research. It was classified as Division 1 with an impact factor of 8.759 by 2019 ChineseAcademy of Sciences JCR Journal.
