Mr. Duan Shuming is a famous neurobiologist, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and The World Academy of Sciences (The Third World Academy of Sciences, TWAS). He was born in October 1957 in Mengcheng, Anhui Province. He graduated from Nantong Medical College in 1985 with a Master’s Degree, and received a Doctorate Degree from Kyushu University in 1991. He is currently the Director of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Zhejiang University, the Chairman of Chinese Neuroscience Society, and a member of The National Committee of the CPPCC. He was elected academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2007.
