Mr. Yao Mu is a famous textile material scientist, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering. He was born in Nantong,  Jiangsu in May 1930. In 1948, he entered the Department of Textile Engineering, Textile Faculty of Nantong University to study. He was the former President of Northwest Textile Science and Technology University, and a lifelong Honorary President of Xi'an Polytechnic University. In 2001, he was elected academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering.
