Mr. Yu Songlie is a famous wheat cultivator, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering. He was born in Cixi, Zhejiang on March 13, 1921. In 1938, he entered Nantong University to study agricultural science. He was a Professor as well as the Chairman of Department of Agronomy, and Director of Institute of Cultivation Physiology, Shandong University. He was elected academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering in 1997. On April 20, 2016, he died in Tai'an, Shandong Province.
