Xu Kecheng

Xu Kecheng was born in 1940 in Rudong, Jiangsu Province. He entered the Department of Medicine of the former NantongMedicalCollege in 1958 and worked in the Affiliated Hospital of Nantong Medical College after graduating in 1963. He is currently the director of GuangzhouFudaCancerHospital in GuangdongProvince and chairman of the World Society of Cryotherapy.

Dr. Xu worked as a resident, attending doctors, deputy chief physician, chief physician, professor, and department director at the Affiliated Hospitals of NantongMedicalCollege. He was also vice president and director of Center of Digestive Diseases of Shekou United Hospital, director of ShenzhenYangheMedicalCenter, and director of Center of Liver Diseases of Shenzhen Luohu People's Hospital. In 2001, Dr. Xu established GuangzhouFudaCancerHospital and served as the first director of the hospital. In 2013, he formed the GuangdongProvince Light of Life Cancer Rehabilitation Association.

Dr. Xu is a member of the HP Group and Pancreatic Diseases Group of the Digestive Diseases Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, vice chairman of the Digestive Society of Guangdong Medical Association, chairman of the Society of Digestive Diseases and Endoscope of Shenzhen Medical Association, vice chairman of the Society of Digestive Diseases of the Chinese Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, executive deputy head of the National Liver Disease Research Cooperation Group, and head of the Cancer Research Cooperation Group. He is a visiting professor at Nantong University, adjunct professor of Southern Medical University (former No.1 Military Medical University), deputy editor-in-chief of World Chinese Digestive Journal, Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, deputy editor-in-chief of Modern Digestive Diseases and Interventional diagnosis and treatment, editorial board members of Chinese Journal of Digestive Medicine, Chinese Journal of Hepatology, Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine, and Gastroenterology, etc.

Dr. Xu won the fourth National Moral Model Nomination Award, the fourth Guangdong Moral Model, Model of the Times, Southern Guangdong Model, Ten Touching Characters of Guangdong, Moral Starring over China· Fifth National Moral Model Dedicated Model Candidate, Lei Feng-style Hopital President, and other honorary titles. He won the World Cryotherapy Special Contribution Award from the Japan Cryogenic Medical Association and the Gold Award from the 35th Annual Meeting of the Japan Cryomedicine Society.
