A native of Taixing, Jiangsu Province, Wang Jingcheng was born in 1963 and entered the former NantongMedicalCollege majoring in clinical medicine in 1979. He is currently the president of Jiangsu Subei People's Hospital, vice president of MedicalCollege under YangzhouUniversity, vice chairman of Yangzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, chairman of Yangzhou City Guomingdan Revolutionary Commission, and chief physician and supervisor for master's degree students.

Dr. Wang has served as the deputy director of Surgery department and vice president of Subei People's Hospital, deputy director of Standing Committee of Guangling District, and deputy of to 11^th National People’s Congress.

He is the vice chairman of Jiangsu Osteoscience Association, director of Yangzhou Orthopaedic Professional Committee, executive director of Jiangsu Medical Association, executive director of Jiangsu Hospital Association, vice chairman of Jiangsu Medical Technology Application Management Committee, vice chairman of Department of Orthopedics Expert Committee for Orthopedic Endoscopy, and member of Professional Committee of Spinal Cord Injury of Jiangsu Rehabilitation Medical Association. He is also a member of editorial boards of Chinese Journals of Trauma Orthopaedics and Chinese Journal of Orthopaedics, editorial board member of Journal for Practical Clinical Medicine, and Modern Orthopaedics monograph series etc.

Dr. Wang receives the special stipend from the State Council. He is selected the Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions and a special trainee through the “333” project. He received second prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the Ministry, third prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the province, first prize for Introducing New Technology from the province, first prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the city, and first prize of the Enders Medical Science and Technology Award.
