Wang Bogen was born in 1964 in Hai'an, JiangsuProvince. In 1986, he started teaching at Nantong Institute of Technology. He is currently the vice president, professor, and doctoral supervisor of the School of Physics of NanjingUniversity.

Professor Wang is the winner of the New Century Talent Support Program and National Outstanding Youth Fund by of Education Ministry, and the specially invited professor of Changjiang River Scholar of Ministry of Education.
