Xing Bensi was born in Shengzhou,  Zhejiang Province in 1930. In 1946, he entered the former NantongCollege for agricultural studies.

Mr. Xing was a teacher at CPCRussianCollege and BeijingRussianCollege. He has served as deputy researcher and academic secretary of the Institute of Philosophy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, deputy director and director of Institute of Philosophy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, editor-in-chief of Philosophy Research, vice president of the Central Party School, editor-in-chief of the journal “Qiushi”, deputy director of the Academic Committee of the Central Party School, member of the Advisory Committee on the Implementation of the Marxist Theory Research and Construction Engineering of the Central Committee, general editorial board member of the Macropaedia, senior adviser to the Chinese Society of International Strategy, and honorary president of the Chinese Journal Association. He is the first member of ChinaInternationalCulturalExchangeCenter, member of Sino-Soviet Friendship Association, professor of TsinghuaUniversity, first president of Marxism School of Tsinghua University. member of the Seventh National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, deputy of the 8^th and 9^th National People’ Congress, and member of the Legislative Committee of the National People's Congress.
