Wang Qingwu was born in 1957 in Rudong,  Jiangsu Province. In 1978, he entered the Chinese Department of NantongNormalCollege to study. He is currently the director of the Jiangsu Provincial Government Counsellor’s Office.

Mr. Wang was the vice president of the PartySchool of the Jiangsu Provincial CPC Committee, director of the Chinese Society of Scientific Socialism, vice chairman and secretary general of the Jiangsu Social Science Society, deputy secretary general and executive director of Jiangsu Political Society, vice president of the PartySchool under the Jiangsu Provincial CPC Committee. He was a school member, vice president, and member of the Party Committee of the ProvincialAdministrativeCollege. He was also the president and member of the party committee of the Jiangsu Academy of Social Science, and president and the secretary of party committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Academy of Social Science.

He has received the JiangsuProvince Five Ones Project Award and second prize in Outstanding Scientific Research Achievement in the national Party school system. He took charge of the key project planning of philosophy and social sciences in JiangsuProvince during the Ninth five-year Plan, and the Important Ideas Database of Jiangsu Province in the 10th five-year Plan of philosophy and Social Sciences in JiangsuProvince.
