Yan Keqin was born in 1956 in Nantong, Jiangsu Province. In 1976, he entered the Chinese Department of NantongNormalCollege. He is now a senior journalist, traditional Chinese painter and cultural scholar.

Mr. Yan served as director of Chongan District, WuxiCity, director of Wuxi Supply and Marketing Cooperative, deputy secretary-general of Wuxi Municipal Government, director of Municipal Office, director of Finance Office, Party Committee Secretary, president and director of Wuxi Radio and Television Group (Wuxi Radio and Television Station).

He is a member of Chinese Artists Association, member of Chinese Calligraphers Association, director of China Television Artists Association, executive director and deputy secretary general of China Association for the Promotion of Cultural Industry Development, member of China Artists Association and China Art Photographers Association, member of Jiangsu Calligraphers Association, adjunct professor of Communication University of China and Jiangnan University, and vice chairman of Wuxi Calligraphers Association, etc.

He was awarded the title of “Four Groups Talent” by the National Culture Propaganda System.
