Da Honghu was born in 1955 in Hai'an, Jiangsu province. In 1977 he entered the former Nantong Normal College to study in the Chinese Department. He is currently the chairman, general manager, party secretary, and senior economist of Jiangsu Suzhong Construction Group Co., Ltd.

Mr. Da served as secretary of Haian County People's Government, deputy director of the Office of the Haian County Party Committee, president and editor-in-chief of Haian Daily, deputy director of Haian County Foreign Economic Commission, and office director of HaianCounty People's Government.
