In April 2018, Dr. Chen Chunzhu, a young teacher of the School  of Geographic Sciences, published her research result in Quaternary Science Reviews, a leading academic journal in the field of geoscience. This research marks the study of last interglacial period of Levant region in the paleoenvironment and modern homo sapiens activities has produced an innovative research result, which is of great scientific significance to explore the survival environment and behavior patterns of ancient humans.    

The study was conducted in collaboration with Professor Thomas Litt from the Steinmann Institute of Geology, Minerals and Paleontology, University   of Bonn, Germany. Dr. Chen Chunzhu is listed as the first author/corresponding author and NantongUniversity as the first unit. The Research was supported by the “CollaborativeResearchCenter” (CRC 806) project in Germany and a doctoral scholarship from the China Scholarship Council.
