Recently, the world's newest fourth-generation Da Vinci Surgical Robot was put into use in the affiliated hospital of our university, and successfully performed the mediastinal tumor resection for a 62-year-old patient. The operation only took 30 minutes, and there was almost no bleeding during the operation. The patient got out of bed and walked in the next day, and 2 days later he was discharged home. As the first Da Vinci surgical Robot in Nantong, its smooth commissioning marks minimally invasive surgery in the affiliated hospital into a new era of artificial intelligence.
