The First Prize Won at National Postgraduate Electronic Design Contest

The final of the 14th National Postgraduate Electronic Design Contest was held in Nanjing from August 15 to 18. The works of our universities going through tough and intense competition were awarded 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 1 third prize and 1 second prize and 1 third prize of the special enterprise prize in technical contest. Wang Shengfeng, teacher of the School of Electrical Engineering was honored as excellent faculty adviser. The number as well the level of awarded prizes hit a new time high.


The final contest was divided into two process including roadshow and questions reply in groups. The works for the contest including the Design for Sandwich Production and Sale Machine and Its Remote Management Platform (advisers include: Wang Shengfeng, Hua Liang, and the graduate students include: Zhang Zeguang, Zhang Haidong, Wang Huimin, Li Wei and Zhao Tianfeng) which won the first prize in technical contest; the Intelligent Manufacturing System Based on Industrial Robot (advisors include: Jiang Ping, Zhou Genrong, and the graduate students include: Shen Xinfeng, Hu Chunyang, Zhang Zhen, Sun Bo, and Lu Yitian) won the second prize in technical contest; the Intelligent Illuminating Control System Based on the CB2201 Development Board (advisors include Shen Xiaoyan, Xu Peng, and the graduate students include: Shao Wei, Li Zhiling, Li Qianqian, Wang Xuemei and Tao Chunling )won the second prize of the special enterprise prize; the Design of Small Grid-Connected Controller with Double-Fed Wind Power (advisors include: Zhu Jianhong, Yang Hui, and graduate students include Cao Shuxiu, Meng Bangbang, and Zhao Jiahao) won the third prize in technical contest and the third prize of special enterprise prize. Moreover, the teachers and students of our university participating in the contest also took part in activities including job fair, project connection, youth innovation forum, the exchange meeting between teachers and students participating in the contest and competitive play of the TOP10 teams. They competed and made exchanges with excellent students from nationwide universities, fully showing the discipline construction and postgraduate development level of our university.


The China Graduate Electronics Design Contest is one of the main contests of “China Postgraduate Innovation and Practice Competition”, which is a group electronic design innovation practice activity for graduate students in China.The Contest was jointly launched by Tsinghua  University and China Institute of Electronics in 1996. After more than ten years of development, the Contest has become the symbol contest with the highest level and the widest scope in the China Postgraduate Innovation and Practice Competition.The Contest is co-hosted by the China  Academic Degrees   & Graduate Education  Development Center, the Children & Youth Science and Center of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology and the China Institute of Electronics, with a total of 3,393 teams participating.After the preliminary contest in the eight contest areas, 396 works and more than 1600 graduate students were selected as finalists from 132 universities and research institutes, including University of Reading, Donghua University of Taiwan, Macao University of Science and Technology, Peking University, Nanjing University and Fudan University.67 first prizes, 98 second prizes and 111 third prizes were awarded in that technical contest; 18 first prizes and 31 second prizes in that business plan contest; 62 enterprise special awards of GigaDevice, Huawei, TI, Pingtouge, ARM, Synopsys, etc.


The university attaches great importance to the Contest, Vice President Dong Zhengchao repeatedly deployed to guide the preparation work.As the organizer of the event, the College of Electrical Engineering, under the guidance of the Graduate School, has firmly carried out selection, training, roadshow and other work, and many colleges, such as the College of Information   Science and Technology, have actively participated in the contest.After the publication of the results of the East China Trials, the College  of Electrical Engineering invited experts to guide the works selected into the National Contest and conduct defense exercises and polish the works carefully.During the finals, the leaders of Graduate School and College  of Electrical Engineering came to the competition site to visit the participating teachers and students, to encourage the students.


Our university has won the first prize in technology class of students and teachers team of the China Graduate Electronics Design Contest.
